Actually there is 2 different ways levels are recorded in that game, total level and combat level. Max combat level is like 129 or something, total level is over 1000 i believe (adds in things like woodcutting and cooking level , lol).
but it is very crappy

I want to curse and rend my garments. Yep I just fell for the worst ones. Selling lockpicks. Persons says 40 for 50k? I say ok. I put 40 up and he puts 50g, dangit. I hit accept before I knew what hit me. I should've paid more attention. I did screeny it. So I figure it's a contract. LOL he/she owes me 49950 gold. Anyone know [name removed]?
Just make sure you look at everything before you accept!!
I know I know before you say it I was very stupid. Or at least I feel stupid. Just funny that there are people out there like this.

I was looking for a ride to Consulate Dock and someone party me and said i have to pay 200g before we go. When I was about to pay, I noticed that he was only level 4.
I cancelled trade and whispered on him that he is a noob scammer.
Scamming people for 200g is really pathetic.

Now I know this is a long list but my personal feeling on the scams is this. Armor... Any type of so called elite armor is the BIGGEST scam in teh game, cause its nothing of the sort... Its a basic nothing skin that could just as easily been replaced manually for you pleasure at any time not spending a single gold piece. Those skins are easily accessible overlays anymore.
but the point is the armor itself is just for looks... Max armor is max armor. Get the cheapest you can and be happy with it cause going for anything expensive is a waste, as it nets you Zero benefit.
Everyone always berates me cause I walk around with 1k armor normally.. But to me it makes me no less powerful then the poor saps that wasted 100s or 1000s of K gold to get Fissure Armor or whatever...
To me THAT is the biggest scam in the game. As to the other stuff. Anyone making use of the trade button for ANYTHING is well deserving of getting scammed. All transactions should happen through the NPCs so the real values of things can be tracked legitimately. Short of that Nothing has any value at all. and never will.
Indeed, there is not 1 item not attainable by any n00blette with the time to waste trying to get it for themselves... And that is the reason there is NEVER a reason to trade with anyone for any reason. If you want something that bad go get it yourself. You'll be all the better for it for one key reason... You Actually Earned it!! and only then is it worth bragging over.
Even in the earliest betas, when the PvE world first opened up to us, we were all giddy over 1 gold coin. lol but it was a gold coin earned... cause we killed the thing that had it. The same is true today not matter what it be. There is no greater feeling then just going after what you want to have and getting it on your own.

Ya cos Crystalines drop all the time.. i mean come on, how is it any different from getting all the cash to buy it compared to it dropping, surely you earn it either way.

Some of you guys should probably check up on what scam means. Being given the option of burning gold youd otherwise have no use for at all on different skinned armor or being given bonus content at no extra cost doesnt count as scams.

I definitely laugh at people who get elite armors and then claim that proves they're good players. Dude...being a good player proves you're a good player, period.
On the other hand, sometimes a new and different look is a benefit of its own. After I had my monk for a year, it occurred to me that even though her 800g tattoos were still awesome, I was really REALLY bored of looking at them, and that I saw an awful lot of other monks in the same costume. So I decided to get her the armor I saw least often: Vabbian. It was hard work, but earning the armor made me feel proud, and it still pleases me that you don't see many other monks in Vabbian. So I wouldn't call all elite armors a waste.

Random Guy: Hi, can I buy your IGN, "Ekelon Gvgs Wtf"?
Me: Uh... sure, will sell for mini panda.
Random Guy: How's 2000 ectos.
Me: Ok, how can I trust you?
No response after that...
If only this guy was for real! 2000 ectos is a lot of money.
